Samples with Voice Over, Dialogue,
and Foley Sound Effects Recording
In these shoots Nick provided
location sound recordist & mixer services
to the program "The Racing Line" and was
hired to mix on-camera action, to camera
audio, as well, voice over and foley / sound
effects recording; everything on these shows.
The demanding challenges of the show was
preventing the audio from over-modulation,
peaking & distortion, as well as preventing
high winds from distorting the clarity of
the desired audio; a challenge for any sound
guy, but experience and the right gear pays
off. (Nick) As a veteran dependable sound
man, I provided several techniques that
were also used to keep Randy's racing suit
from distorting the audio, with a hidden
lavaliere used on one of the channels recording.
Multiple track recording was used for the
sound effects recording, as well for mixing
& recording sound in all the takes.
There are also microphone placement techniques
& recording tricks I used to keep the
engine, racing sounds and cars recorded
audio from interfering with understanding
the voice & dialogue that were recorded
together at the same time on numerous instances.
This required multiple mic placement in
strategic paces, and other gear used aside
from just one or two wireless and a mixer/recorder.

of the police car. We passed the other media
from an additional camera from a pick up
in the same shoot day so we could not incorporate
this footage into this scene. Everything

McIlroy Pro Golfer Coverage, BMW Championship,
Cherry Hills Colorado
This is a group of coverage of professional
golfer and world #1 pro golfer (as of 12-2017)
at the BMW Championship in Cherry Hills
Village Colorado. The last interview was
a bit tricky as the venue wanted no silks
or lighting control at the clubhouse for
the last interview, so was the contention
of changing sunlight. The interviews relied
on microphones whereas the tournament coverage
samples, and B Roll relied on the camera
mic. I had to shoot this as the cameraman
and sound recordist as a boom mic is an
unwanted intrusion on a golf course. This
is a sampling of the entire tournament footage.
The interviews and press conferences used
microphones and mixers, whereas all the
B Roll was camera mic only. I am a competent
/ talented cameraman, aside from my skills
as a sound man. My additional skills in
lighting, data, camera, and post production
aside from years and years of location sound,
as well as, studio post sound are assets
to any hiring crew, shooter, producer or
production company whom needs a competent,
experienced sound man, as well whom can
pitch in on other production assistance

This is a PSA style approach portion of
a broadcast TV commercial for Spain's elections
for the campaigning Spanish Socialist Party
in favor of keeping the socialized health

it affects those without health insurance
or adequate income for catastrophe, in the

This was a second place award in the competition
for Cut the Carbon, a carbon reduction program
