Digital camera recorders

A) Firestore: As a cameraman I and my camera crew often also use the FS100 Firestore with the HDX900 that records HD or SD in several formats from QuickTime, AVI, DV, DVCPRO 25 or 50, DVCPRO HD and docks to a DV or DVCPRO HD camera. It's a great use for the HDX900 camera as a digital download, with a HD tape backup capability. Why use a FireStore - it currently has a larger capacity for video than P2 and can also be used with a DVCPRO HD or SD camera to back up the tape or vise versa.

B) Convergent Designs NanoFlash recorder - which docks to HDV cameras, or the HDX900 or HDCAM (with upgrade) XDCAM cameras or other cameras with HD SDI or HDMI ports ! Making recording HD or SD video to compact flash cards is a breeze. Pump up your HD video with this little beauty; recording a variety of high definition formats and standard definition formats. What are the advantages of high speed flash cards to record video & HD video - bring your laptop or external hard drive and take the footage back to your editor without additional P2 card or SxS card readers - just a compact flash reader or use your laptop port to download video. Look at your HD video on your laptop on the plane and start your EDL, ftp your video to your editors to get a jump. With more flash cards makes video swapping footage faster + makes more sense as well + no need to go to lunch for 2 hours either - get your high definition footage. See some NanoFlash sample footage in native MXF or QuickTime (same footage shot with Sony or Panasonic cameras like XDCAM or P2 editing importing easy to NLE native working in AVID or Final Cut Pro). All this mumbo jumbo? - it's easy to bring the footage right into AVID or Final Cut Pro with no tech support calls.
