Tell Me About ENG? EFP? What is it to me?

ENG was originally dubbed electronic news gathering - mainly a news video camera crew or production truck camera crew (SNG - known as satellite news gathering, or a news truck production) and now has been expanded to field production crews responsibilities in broad terms. A ENG cameraman or camera person is called a photojournalist or cameraman in news broadcast terms or sometimes 'photographer' or videographer. ENG video crews are sometimes referred to as TV Crews, broadcast video crews or broadcast camera crews, network video crews or remote / location production crews as well. ENG is often used to describe videotaping/recording or shooting video for any type of television programs in modern day loose definitions. ENG crews have several combinations - the camera person/videographer, reporters/producers, location sound people are the most typical cast; however, more the merrier.
